Kylie Jenner has got your lips covered with Kylie LipKit and now she’s got your nails covered too with King Kylie SinfulShine.
With the name inspired by her Instagram persona, the 18-year-old has collaborated with nail polish brand SinfulColors to create a 20-piece line, which will be the first of three limited edition releases.
“I love getting my nails done and nails in general,” Jenner told Women’s Wear Daily, which was the first to report the announcement. “I wanted to do something innovative and accessible to my young fans.”
Just a few days after she celebrated the launch of her new contemporary apparel brand Kendall + Kylie with her sister, the youngest Jenner has teamed up with super-affordable nail polish brand Sinful Colors, WWD reveals. Instead of launching polish via her own label like she did with her Lip Kits, Jenner is releasing three limited-edition collections with the nail company. The first will hit stores in early March, with the next two to follow in April and May.
The line, which will probably sell out in 2.5 seconds given her track record, is set to include 20 jewel-toned shades that “are great for all skin tones,” Kylie told WWD.
Best part? They’re priced at $2.99 a bottle, which is a fraction of the price of her lip kits you already know and love. Two more limited-edition collections are expected to roll out, one in April and the second in May.
So, what sparked the collaboration? Kylie told WWD, “I love getting my nails done and nails in general. I wanted to do something innovative and accessible to my young fans.”
To be honest, I’m not surprised that KJ is coming out with her own nail collection, especially since she’s always switching up her nail look.
Curious as to which of the colors is Kylie’s favorite? “Right now I really like the pinks,” she said, referring to the ‘Miss Majesty’ and ‘Miss Chief’ shades, WWD reported.
Get ready to watch like a hawk for this line to drop. Because the last thing you want to be doing is bidding on a tiny bottle of nail polish for hundreds of dollars on eBay.
This partnership makes a lot of sense for Jenner because, after her famous lips, her nails are probably her most-Instagrammed feature. She used to constantly pose with her hands by her mouth, telling Elle U.K. that the reason she did that was because she used to be self-conscious about her lips. Now they’re another way to shill her products. “I wanted to do something innovative and accessible to my young fans,” Jenner told WWD. Surely they’ll respond enthusiastically.
