They say variety is the spice of life, and if you’re not the type to profess an undying devotion to one fragrance, right now is the perfect transitional period between summer and fall to experiment with a new scent. Fresh off the shelves, six new feminine blends are set to be your new go-to spritz… and what’s cool is that not all of them are perfumes in traditional sprays. From a sensorial oil to powdered interpretations of Byredo best-sellers, check out the fragrances to pick up as the newest addition to your scent stable:
Valentino Donna AcquaCreated by perfumer Sonia Constant, the notes of warm frangipani rose, green almond and frosted pear makes Valentino’s Donna Acqua a lightweight yet lush floral. Smelling like a woodsy garden in full bloom with richer undertones of hawthorn and sandalwood, the juice even comes in the brand’s iconic studded flacon to decorate your dressing table something edgy and chic.
Available at all leading department stores, $137 – $176
Byredo Kabuki collectionOkay, we sorta cheated with this one. We’re rounding up three scents at a go, though each one is distinctly unique. And if you’re no stranger to Byredo, it should come as no surprise that cult faves Bal d’Afrique, Gypsy Water and Blanche have been designated as a new art of perfuming, transformed into micro-fine powder blends housed in retractable brushes. The soft talc can be dusted over the entire body, giving your perfuming ritual a new tactile experience.
Available at Escentials Paragon and Escentials online, $79 each
Anine Bing Savage RoseYou’re forgiven if the name Anine Bing sounds unfamiliar, but the five year young eponymous women’s label by the former Danish model is on the up and up as it launches its first signature scent. With a blend of Bulgarian and white roses underscored by musk and black pepper for a complex bouquet, this isn’t your typical powdery rose. Plus its rich, oil-based texture makes for a luxe application and wears with a longer sillage when worked into the skin.
Available end August online, $69
Prada Candy GlossIf you loved the original Prada Candy, you’ll be even more obsessed with this richer iteration. Think of it as a sugar rush for your olfactory sweet tooth, what with a honeyed base concocted from vanilla almond, layered with fresh orange blossom and bright cherry as the heart and top notes respectively. And just like the ‘Gloss’ part of its name implies, the fragrance wears like an airy coating of enticing, sparkling femininity. Can’t you just smell it already?
